Dr. Crotinger directs the development of Numerix’s core analytics architecture, bringing a distinguished 30-year career in software development, management, computational physics and mathematical finance. Since his work at Numerix since 2001, he has been instrumental in developing the company’s “event-driven” pricing architecture, known as the Numerix Core Development Kit (CDK).
Before joining Numerix, Dr. Crotinger served in senior research roles at major scientific institutions, developing advanced C++ applications for both Proximation and Los Alamos National Laboratories. Prior to that, he worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he served on the Laboratory Directed R&D Review committee and was Principle Investigator for the Corsica Project — a multi-million-dollar effort to create a component-based simulation system for toroidal magnetic-fusion devices.
Dr. Crotinger earned his PhD in Applied Plasma Physics with a minor in Numerical Analysis at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds a BS in Nuclear Engineering from Kansas State University.
