Numerix has introduced its new trader workbook application for Microsoft Excel – Numerix Credit Trader

New York, NY – March 16, 2009 – Numerix, (www.numerix.com) the leading independent provider of award winning cross-asset analytics for the structuring, valuation and risk analysis of derivatives and structured products, has introduced its new trader workbook application for Microsoft Excel – Numerix Credit Trader.

Through an enhanced Excel interface (Numerix 7), Numerix Credit Trader simplifies and accelerates the workflow associated with accurately valuing complex and single-name credit derivative strategies.  This value-added feature of Numerix provides traders, risk managers and other front-office professionals a set of custom Excel spreadsheets for viewing and testing trades, and monitoring market data and risk metrics.  Moreover, Numerix Credit Trader allows users to define bespoke baskets of credit derivatives on-the-fly, combine them with standard baskets and hedges within the trade blotter and analyze the impact of a potential trade within an aggregated risk framework.

“With Numerix Credit Trader we are able to provide our clients with advanced workflow functionality,” said Steven R. O’Hanlon, President and COO of Numerix.  “When coupled with the flexibility of the Numerix 7 platform, Credit Trader is ideal for evaluating and monitoring all types of complex trading strategies. The introduction of Credit Trader is the first offering of its kind from Numerix and we will be introducing a series of Trader applications for other asset classes in the near future.”
