Numerix Launches Kynex Excel Add-In for Convertible Securities Analytics

Numerix introduces the Kynex Excel Add-In to help capital markets teams analyze convertible securities directly within Excel.

Numerix introduces the Kynex Excel Add-In to help capital markets teams analyze convertible securities directly within Excel.Amid continued momentum in the global convertible bond market, Numerix, a leading capital markets quantitative analytics technology provider, today announced the launch of the Kynex Excel Add-In, a new extension of its convertible securities analytics platform that brings Kynex pricing, risk, and market data directly into Microsoft Excel.

The launch comes as convertible bond activity continues to accelerate globally. According to Numerix’s latest convertible securities report, global issuance reached $56.1 billion across 78 deals in the first quarter of 2026, more than doubling year-over-year despite a volatile macroeconomic backdrop. As issuance activity grows, capital markets teams need faster, more flexible ways to evaluate new structures, compare deal terms, run scenarios, and monitor risk within the workflows they already use.

The Kynex Excel Add-In is designed to help teams bring trusted Kynex analytics into Excel-based workflows while maintaining alignment with centralized Kynex models, data, and methodology. For issuance and equity capital markets teams, the add-in supports new issue pricing, hypothetical structure testing, deal term comparison, and issuer pitch preparation. For traders, portfolio managers, and risk managers, it supports scenario analysis, portfolio monitoring, stress testing, custom reporting, and day-to-day decision support.

“This launch is another step in our strategy to make Kynex analytics more accessible, flexible, and integrated into the way clients work,” said Joseph O’Reilly, Kynex Product Manager, Numerix. “As convertible bond activity continues to grow, clients need tools that help them move quickly, evaluate opportunities with confidence, and maintain consistency across teams. The Kynex Excel Add-In brings Kynex analytics directly into one of the environments capital markets teams rely on most.”

The Excel Add-In also builds on Numerix’s continued investment in API-enabled workflows across the Kynex platform. It follows the launch of the Kynex Single Name API, a SaaS, cloud-based add-on that gives clients programmatic access to the Kynex valuation engine. Through the API, clients can feed in real-time inputs such as credit spreads, volatility, and stock prices and receive outputs including fair values, Greeks, implieds, and other risk measures in lightweight JSON format.

By extending Kynex analytics into Excel, Numerix helps clients reduce manual exports, streamline spreadsheet-based analysis, and improve consistency across users, teams, and workflows. As an extension of Kynex Portfolio and the Single Name API, the add-in is designed to enhance existing client workflows rather than replace the core Kynex platform.

“Excel remains an important environment for convertible securities analysis, whether teams are evaluating new issue structures, running scenarios, monitoring portfolios, or supporting risk and reporting workflows,” O’Reilly added. “The Kynex Excel Add-In gives clients a practical way to bring Kynex analytics directly into those workflows while preserving the reliability and scale of the broader Kynex platform.”

Numerix is currently offering a free 14-day Kynex trial. Interested firms can complete a short form to get started, and a Numerix representative will reach out to learn more about their requirements.
