Apex Group Ltd ("Apex Group"), a global financial services provider with over $3.5 trillion in assets serviced, and Numerix today announced the go-live of advanced market risk analytics within RiskMonitor, Apex Group's end-to-end risk reporting platform for the buy-side. The integration combines Numerix's institutional-grade cross-asset analytics engine with Apex Group's independent valuation services, delivering a unified platform for complex portfolio analysis and reporting.
This milestone builds on the strategic partnership announced in March 2025, bringing together Apex Group’s global servicing capabilities and Numerix’s quantitative analytics to address the growing complexity of buy-side risk management.
The first capability to go live is a Historical Value-at-Risk (VaR) solution based on full revaluation, enabling firms to reprice each position under historical market scenarios across OTC derivatives, structured products, and other complex assets. This approach provides greater transparency and accuracy than approximation-based methods, particularly for non-linear instruments.
Ian Hubert, Director at Apex Group, said:
"Our clients increasingly demand integrated solutions that combine valuation, risk analytics, and reporting without adding operational complexity. This integration delivers exactly that, helping asset managers strengthen risk oversight more efficiently."
Tom Lin, Chief Revenue Officer at Numerix, added:
"By embedding Numerix analytics within RiskMonitor, we are bringing institutional-grade risk methodologies directly into buy-side operational workflows. This partnership enables firms to analyze their most complex instruments with the depth, accuracy, and transparency required in today's environment."
With the integration now live, RiskMonitor clients benefit from:
- A single platform for independent valuation and advanced risk analytics across multiple asset classes
- Enhanced transparency into risk and valuation methodologies, supporting stronger governance and regulatory compliance
- Improved ability to manage increasingly complex portfolios of OTC derivatives and structured products
The Historical VaR module is the first in a planned series of enhancements that will expand instrument coverage and further strengthen valuation and risk capabilities. The roadmap will deliver continued improvements in analytics depth, model transparency, and cross-asset consistency within a unified platform.
