Numerix, a leading capital markets quantitative analytics technology provider, today announced the general availability of Numerix CrossAsset AI Add-On, an officially supported AI tool for the CrossAsset analytics library.
The launch addresses a practice that has already spread across the industry. Teams are connecting large language models to their pricing and risk analytics on their own, generating integration code and implementation guidance through tools that were never designed for the purpose. These homegrown integrations can become outdated as CrossAsset evolves, leaving teams responsible for maintaining the connection and validating the guidance it produces. CrossAsset AI Add-On provides a Numerix-managed alternative that stays aligned with supported releases.
CrossAsset AI Add-On provides a Numerix-maintained source of CrossAsset knowledge aligned with supported releases. It delivers documentation, examples, code samples, and SDK/API guidance through a natural-language interface, combining the productivity of AI with Numerix’s market-tested CrossAsset knowledge and expertise.
“Firms are not deciding whether to use AI with their analytics — that decision has already been made on the desk,” said Satyam Kancharla, Chief Product Officer at Numerix. “What they need is a version of it they can stand behind. MCP provides a standard interface, but its value depends on the quality of the knowledge behind it. Numerix CrossAsset AI Add-On grounds AI in the same market-tested analytics knowledge our clients have relied on for decades, and Numerix keeps it current with each supported release.”
Generally available beginning October 15, 2026, Numerix CrossAsset AI Add-On provides:
- Natural-language CrossAsset Q&A. Users ask questions in plain language — from a chat interface or directly inside their coding environment — and receive answers, explanations, references, and worked examples drawn from the CrossAsset knowledge domain.
- Documentation and knowledge discovery. Fast retrieval of authoritative CrossAsset documentation, API references, and object guides, without searching through manuals.
- SDK and implementation guidance. Explanations of CrossAsset SDK APIs, objects, parameters, and configuration options, backed by implementation examples and best practices — a developer can ask how to construct and price an interest rate swap and receive both the required objects and a working code example.
- Capability discovery. Users can confirm whether CrossAsset supports a given asset class, instrument, model, or workflow before committing implementation time.
- AI-assisted developer workflow integration. CrossAsset knowledge is available inside AI-enabled development environments that support MCP, such as Visual Studio Code, so developers stay in their editor.
- Alignment with supported CrossAsset releases. Numerix maintains CrossAsset AI Add-On and keeps it aligned with the latest supported CrossAsset release. Clients do not manage versions, curate knowledge sources, or maintain their own AI integration.
The knowledge behind the interface is the CrossAsset library, which spans equities, rates, FX, credit, commodities, inflation, cash securities, structured products, exchange-traded instruments, structured finance, crypto, and hybrids, with more than 250 pre-defined deal templates, a payoff scripting language for bespoke deals, a hybrid model framework with joint calibration across asset classes, full support for global alternative reference rates, and SDK access in Python, Java, C#, and C++. CrossAsset AI Add-On provides knowledge, documentation, and implementation guidance for that library; it does not perform or replace CrossAsset calculations or analytics.
Grounding answers in that library also widens who can use it. Structuring desks can confirm whether a new product is supported in minutes rather than scheduling time with a specialist; portfolio managers and analysts can self-serve routine valuation and risk questions instead of queuing behind a small pool of experts; and insurers running quant-grade analytics on lean teams gain an always-available CrossAsset tool. The expertise barrier that made CrossAsset a quant-only tool comes down, without loosening what the answers are based on.
“CrossAsset has always been powerful, but that power has historically required quant-level expertise to unlock,” said Liang Wu, CrossAsset Product Manager at Numerix. “With CrossAsset AI Add-On, a new developer can ask how something works and get an answer grounded in the library itself, with a code example, in the environment they are already working in. That means the desk no longer has to wait for routine answers from the quant team, while quants get more time back for higher-value work.”
Over time, Numerix expects CrossAsset AI Add-On to expand beyond knowledge retrieval and reference assistance toward support for more advanced implementation workflows.
CrossAsset AI Add-On is generally available from October 15, 2026 as an officially supported Numerix product, for use in MCP-enabled AI development environments.
