To Cloud or Not to Cloud: Shifting Attitudes Around Cloud Adoption

Why Attend: This webinar was developed to help attendees better understand how attitudes towards cloud adoption are shifting inside banks.

It is commonly understood that there are many advantages to adopting the cloud. Yet, while there are many pro-cloud arguments, many banks host on-premises technology by choice or out of necessity. Paul Sinthunont, Strategic Advisor at Aite-Novarica Group unveil key findings from one-on-one interviews with key stakeholders across the financial services sector uncovering what’s driving—or holding back—cloud migration decisions for trading and risk management functions.

Following the presentation, Sinthunont joins a roundtable discussion with Chief Information Officer and Numerix SVP, Nestor Nelson to discuss the following topics:

  • The cloud adoption decision making process happening inside financial institutions
  • Why some institutions are adopting the cloud and others not, and for what purposes
  • The different ways banks are using cloud providers for derivatives trading and risk analytics
  • The factors that push some banks to stick with legacy systems
  • The cultural, behavioral, and demographic influence on cloud adoption
